I was very pleased to learn that My Life & Other Fictions (published by Spineless Wonders) was shortlisted in the Mascara Avant-garde Award 2018 for fiction.

The award was won by Brian Castro for his verse novel Blindness and Rage: a phantasmagoria (Giramondo).
Also shortlisted for fiction were The Last Days of Jeanne D’Arc (Giramondo) by Ali Alizadeh and Rubik (Brio) by Elizabeth Tan.

The awards are run by Mascara Literary Review, edited by poet, fiction writer, essayist and champion of experimental writing Michelle Cahill.
