Volume 7 of Australian Poetry‘s annual anthology will be launched by co-guest-editor Yvette Holt on Sunday 19 May as part of the Northern Territory Writers’ Festival in Alice Springs.
This edition of the anthology is edited by Yvette Holt and Magan Magan, and marks the first time the Anthology has been produced with a Northern Territory focus.

Included in the collection are the long first two sections of my award-winning multi-section poem ‘In the soft light of dawn’ – 0. Artist Statement and 1. Song of the Crested Pigeon.

The poem was inspired by and directly references the painting ‘Anthropology: being themselves’ by renowned Central Australian artist and award-winning writer Rod Moss.
